The magic is in the Wrapping

Bio Degradable Bags

Biodegradable resins are plastics that can naturally decompose with the aid of microbial organisms. Biodegradable plastics break down cleanly, in a defined time period, to simple molecules found in the environment such as carbon dioxide and water.

Available in various microns, and prints.

The amount of petroleum used to make a plastic bag would drive a car about 11 meters. 230,000 plastic supermarket bags are dumped in landfills every hour. About 100,000 whales, seals, turtles and other marine animals are killed by plastic bags each year worldwide, according to Planet Ark, an international environmental group.

The American Society for Testing & Material (ASTM) and the European Committee for Standardization (Comité Europeén de Normalisation or CEN) have published the technical standards – ASTM D6400-99 & EN13432 respectively on what constitutes a Biodegradable Plastic. Only those plastics that meet these standards can be classified as Biodegradable.

Degradable resins are used where compostability is not required or where controlled degradability beyond 6 months is desired.
